Big Bear PaddleFest returns for 2025! "Paddle Lakefest" is a part of Big Bear's Lakefest!
Paddle Lakefest hosts a collection of paddle races on Stand-Up Paddleboards, Kayaks, and more! The relay race is accessible to all and doesn’t even require you to have your own boat. There will be distances of:
-Paddlefest 5K - The OG race. Bring your fastest vessel and challenge the masses in this winner takes all battle.
-Lakefest Classic 10k - Test your hand at endurace at altitude. Beautiful and challenging 10k distance.
-The Dooley Cup - A 20k paddle circumnavigating all of Big Bear Lake! Not for the feint.
-Paddle, Paddle, Pass Relay - No boat or experience required! This is our shortest race that gets your friends and family out on the water with you.
Athlete Check-in: Friday night 8/22 is Athlete Welcome Night! Lakefest HQ at Ski Beach will open at 4pm. Come by to get the lay of the land and the details out of the way so race morning is a breeze!

Paddling Film Fest World Tour: Enjoy a curated selection of this year’s best paddling films!
Parking: There is no on-site parking for Paddle Lakefest. There will be a boat drop-off area with security. We will be offering shuttle service from our satellite parking lot. This event is part of Lakefest which is a “park and ride” event encouraging everyone to ride bikes or take public transportation to and from the event. There should be available parking on Friday Night only for Athlete Welcome Night.
