Weekend Trail Runs at The Yellow Post

Join us for a fun and welcoming 1-2 hour trail run featuring scenic hills and stunning lake views! No ultra or trail running experience necessary—everyone is encouraged to join!

About the Run

Our standard 4-mile loop starts from The Yellow Post and climbs to the top of the old ski slopes, offering beautiful lake vistas and about 900 feet of elevation gain. Typically, participants complete this loop in around 1 hour:

  • Faster runners: ~45 minutes

  • Average pace: ~1 hour

  • Relaxed pace: ~1 hour 15 minutes

Depending on group preferences, we often split into smaller groups to match skill levels and desired mileage. For those seeking a longer adventure, there's an optional extension from the top of the climb, adding up to another hour along the south shore ridge.
